Air Force launches community outreach projects in view of anniversary celebrations
March 07, 2019The Sri Lanka Air Force had carried out several community welfare programmes inview of its 68th anniversary celebrations.
Accordingly, the newly constructed sanitary facility at Vattappalei Maha Vidalayam in Mullaitivu was handed over for the use of students, recently (01 March).
In addition, the SLAF Station Mullaitivu also conducted a series of community service projects in the region. A shramadana campaign was held at Mulliyawalai Hospital under this programme.
A water filter and water tank was donated to the Senkadir Pre School in Pilakudirippu and a stock of sports equipment was also donated to the Keppapilavu Government Tamil Mixed School in Mullaitivu.
The Sri Lanka Air Force celebrated its 68th anniversary with an Air Tattoo and exhibition at Hingurakgoda. The 20th Guwan Hamuda Papedi Savariya (bicycle race) was also held successfully. Both men's and women's championship was won by SLAF teams.
