SLN Hospital to deliver medicine to patient’s door-step

The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has introduced a new program to distribute monthly medicine quota to the families of naval personnel killed, wounded and went missing in action and retired and serving naval personnel including their family members from today.

Under this program, which was initiated following the directives of Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, those who are attending clinics at the Navy General Hospital (NGH), Colombo will receive their medicine parcels to their door-steps from today.

NGH also plans to dispatch medicines prescribed by Consultant Physicians for long-term ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, chronic kidney disease, pregnancy and eye, skin, neurological and psychiatric patients.

SLN took a similar initiative previously (April 8) during the curfew imposed to contain the spread if coronavirus outbreak.

 A large number of naval personnel and their families have been benefited during the previous initiative.
