169 Sri Lankan expatriates arrived Sri Lanka

A group of 169 Sri Lankan expatriates who were stranded overseas for months due to coronavirus pandemic, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, this morning (August 21).

Airport Duty Manager Janith Vidanapathirana said 34 returnees were brought by Emirates EK648 flight, 45 returnees by Qatar Airways flight QR668, 02 returnees by UL 504 Sri Lankan flight from London and  88 returnees by Sri Lankan Airlines charter flight UL 403 from Thailand.

Vidanapathirana told the  defence.lk that returnees would  be directed to Tri-Forces managed quarantine centres following PCR tests.
