Land released in Jaffna
July 15, 2019An extent of 26.4 acres of private land in the Palaly cantonment area and one acre of state land, for the use of RCTM School in the north of Palaly has been released by the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on Friday (12). According to Army media, official documents relating to the land released was handed over to the Northern Provincial Governor, Dr Suren Ragavan by the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna Major General Darshana Hettiarrachchi during a brief ceremony held at the Thelippalai Divisional Secretariat in Jaffna.
In turn the Governor handed over the documents to the Additional District Secretary for Jaffna (Lands), Mr S. Muralidaran for necessary action. Senior military officers and state officials including the Divisional Secretary, Thelippalai, Mr S. Shivasri were also present at the occasion.
