STF raids 30 perch cannabis plantation in Hambantota
August 22, 2020The Police elite force - Special Task Force - has raided 30 perches illegal cannabis plantation in Hambantota, yesterday (Aug 21).
This was the first ever anti-narcotic operation jointly conducted together with Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF).
According to the Police, the raid was carried-out following an aerial reconnaissance conducted with the assistance of the SLAF at Weerawila.
A 39 -year -old suspect was taken into custody during the raid, the Police said.
