Police arrest underworld criminal ‘Podi Lassi’s mother
August 25, 2020The Police have arrested the mother of the organised criminal Arumahandi Janith Madusanka alias ‘Podi Lassie’ for managing finances earned through smuggling drugs.
The 50-year-old suspect, who is a resident of Thelwatte, Anamaduwa, was arrested by Peliyagoda Western Province North Crime Division Police officers while she was hiding at Maya Avenue, Pannipitiya.
Police have taken a bank passbook, five mobile phones, and Rs. 51000.00 into custody during the raid.
She will be produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate Court today (25), the Police said.
