STF nabs 1,000 kg of smuggled turmeric
August 26, 2020Special Task Force (STF) has nabbed 1,000 kilograms of illegally imported turmeric stock while transporting in a lorry in Kalpitiya area, yesterday (25).
The raid was conducted following a tip-off and the lorry driver has escaped from the scene during the raid.
The haul of seized turmeric was handed over to the Kalpitiya Police for further investigations.
