A woman nabbed with a firearm and live rounds
August 26, 2020The Police have arrested a female aged 42-years at Lihiriyagama, Dankotuwa with a firearm, live and empty rounds.
She was produced before the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate Court today (Aug 26).
Special Task Force recovered the illegally imported firearm, 44 live rounds of a 9mm weapon, 45 numbers of 12 bore live and 639 empty rounds hidden in a pit during the raid, which was conducted following a tip-off, the Police said.
Pannala Police are conducting further investigations.
