Lance Corporal Abeykoon sets South Asian Record
September 10, 2020Lance Corporal Yupun Abeykoon breaking a long existed 100m national record has setup a new record (10.16 seconds) during an international athletic meet at the Dessau in Germany on Sep 8, the Army said.
Abeykoon also won the Bronze Medal at the 7th World’s Defence Services Athletic Meet for 4 x 400m relay held in South Korea in year 2015.
He is a member of both National and Army Athletic pools.
