Sri Lanka records 13th Coronavirus death
September 14, 2020Coronavirus deaths in Sri Lanka have risen to 13 with the death of an expatriate reported at Chilaw Base Hospital a short while ago.
The Government Information Department's statement issued has confirmed that a 60-year-old person, who had recently arrived from Bahrain was a seaman. He had not been tested positive for Coronavirus on arrival to the country.
However, he was admitted to the Chilaw Base Hospital on September 9 during the quarantine process and had died due to a heart ailment making the country's Coronavirus death toll to 13.
Meanwhile, the total Coronavirus confirmed cases reported to date is 3235 while the total recovered being increased to 3005.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry has confirmed that 217 are still undergoing medical treatment in hospitals.
