Pakistan lauds Sri Lanka's support during difficult times
September 15, 2020Pakistan Defence Advisor in Sri Lanka Col. Muhammad Safdar Khan made a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, today (Sep 15).
Highlighting the long existed bilateral co-operation between two countries, Col. Safdar commended Sri Lanka's assistance provided to Pakistan during its difficult times.
He also expressed Pakistan’s willingness to facilitate the Defence Services Command and Staff College in Sri Lanka, for their annual visits to Pakistan.
Defence Secretary said he was grateful to the Pakistani government for strengthening defence ties between two countries.
Maj.Gen. Gunaratne also recalled the assistance extended by the Pakistani Army to Sri Lankan military during the past.
Further, Defence Secretary held cordial discussions on matters of bilateral importance and mutual relevance with Col.Safdar.
Defence Secretary and Col. Safdar exchanged gifts and mementos to mark the occasion.
