STF nabs a haul of cannabis and turmeric from Pudukuduirippu
September 15, 2020The Special Task Force (STF) has nabbed four persons while smugglling 52 kilograms and 353 grams of Kerala cannabis, 920 kilograms and 250 grams of turmeric stock while transporting in a lorry and tractor in Uilankulam, Pudukuduirippu, today (15).
The raid was carried out in a joint operation with the Sri Lanka Police on a tip off received.
The police have also recovered Rs.1,725,000 and five USD 100 currency notes in the possession of the suspects.
The suspects aged between 28 to 44 years are residents of Uilankulam, Uppukulam and Marandamadu.
Suspects will be produced before the Mannar Magistrate Courts today.
Mannar Police are conducting further investigations.
