SLAF won IPSC Sharp Shooter Championship -2020
October 08, 2020SLAF Shooting team became Champions at the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) led ‘Sharp Shooter Championship- 2020’ in Kandy.
This event was held at the Hill Country Sports Shooting Range, Hanthana in Kandy and SLAF shooters won a total of 11 Gold, 9 Silver and 7 Bronze medals during the event.
IPSC ‘Sharp Shooter Championships – 2020’ is an internationally recognized ‘Level III’ competition and a trial to select the national level shooters to represent Sri Lanka in forthcoming international meets.
More than 183 top shooters from 16 shooting clubs in the island including Tri-Forces and Police contested at the event.
SLAF team consisting of an officer, fourteen airmen and five airwomen took part in all the 27 events held under three categories.
