Essential services in curfew areas are open for public
October 09, 2020Arrangements have been made to provide essential services for the general public in the 18 police divisions in the Gampaha District where the quarantine curfew is imposed, the Police said.
DIG Ajith Rohana confirmed that essential service providers including Sathosa, pharmacies, supermarkets and fish stalls will be open from 8.00 am today (Oct 09) to 8.00 pm.
People are allowed to obtain services from the nearest store while strictly following the health guidelines and it is advisable for only one person from each house to go to the shops to buy goods, the Police added.
