‘SLA Way Forward Strategy for 2020-2025’ drafted
October 09, 2020Sri Lanka Army (SLA) handed over the draft ‘Sri Lanka Army Way Forward Strategy for 2020-2025’ to the former Army Commanders for their views, in an event organised at the Army Headquarters yesterday (Oct 8).
The SLA’s Way Forward Strategy prepared under the guidance of Acting Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva comprised SLA’s structure, officers' career progression, organization and Volunteer Force, focusing the modernization in the defence spectrum.
Gen. (Retd) Srilal Weerasooriya, Gen. (Retd) Shantha Kottegoda, Gen. (Retd) Jagath Jayasooriya and Gen. (Retd) Daya Rathnayake, present Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva and Senior Army Officers were also present at the occasion.
