October 12, 2020Health Ministry recommends patients with chronic diseases and the elderly, not to attend hospital clinics until further notice.
Issuing a Press Release yesterday (Oct 11) to combat the current situation, the Health Ministry said patients with chronic diseases and elderly are at a higher risk of contracting COVID-I9.
The Sri Lankan government is making arrangements to home deliver the required medicinal drugs for Clinic Patients of Government Hospitals from Tuesday the Oct 13.
The process will be commenced from Gampaha and Colombo Districts and would be expanded island wide.
Health Ministry further advises the patients to visit the emergency treatment units of the closest hospital, at any time if they experience warning signs of the disease.
