Coronavirus update; 6,648 PCR tests conducted yesterday
October 13, 2020The 92 cases reported on 12 Oct increased the total Coronavirus positives in the country to 4,844 today (Oct 13), the National Operations Centre for Prevention of Covid – 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
Accordingly, 90 positives among the yesterday’s total have been identified as close contacts of the Minuwangoda apparel factory cluster and the other two were foreigners arrived in the island.
The number of positives within the Minuwangoda cluster has increased to 1,397.
NOCPCO also said a total of 335,752 tests have been carried out in the country along with the 6,648 PCR tests conducted yesterday, and a total of 10,281 persons are undergoing quarantine in 90 facilities available.
According to NOCPCO 51,480 persons have completed their quarantine period successfully so far.
