Coronavirus situation; 6,190 PCR tests conducted yesterday
October 14, 2020The 194 cases reported on 13 increased the country’s total Coronavirus positives to 5,038 today (Oct 14), the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID - 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
Accordingly, yesterday’s positives were identified as the close contacts of the Minuwangoda apparel factory cluster and the number of positives within the same cluster has increased to 1,591.
NOCPCO also said along with the 6,190 PCR tests conducted yesterday, a total of 342,343 tests have been completed in the country and a total of 9,905 persons are undergoing quarantine in 84 facilities available.
According to NOCPCO 52,090 persons have completed their quarantine period successfully so far.
Following total recovery, 11 coronavirus contracted patients of those repatriated from overseas were discharged from the hospital today morning.
