A total of 16 recovered from the Minuwangoda cluster
October 16, 2020The 74 cases reported on Oct 15 have increased the country’s total Coronavirus positives to 5,244 according to the epidemiology unit’s information.
Accordingly, 68 positives among them were identified as the close contacts of the Minuwangoda apparel factory cluster and the number of positives within the same cluster has increased to 1,791.
NOCPCO also said along with the 6,543 PCR tests conducted yesterday, a total of 365,859 tests have been completed in the island and a total of 9,556 persons are undergoing quarantine in 84 quarantine centers.
Following total recovery, 23 coronavirus contracted patients were discharged from the hospital and seven of them were persons repatriated from overseas and the other 16 were from the Minuwangoda apparel factory cluster
According to NOCPCO 53,011 persons have completed their quarantine period successfully so far.
