Minuwangoda Coronavirus cluster rose to 2077 - NOCPCO
October 19, 2020The total number of Coronavirus positive cases reported from the Minuwangoda cluster is 2077 by today morning (Oct 19). This includes 1,041 factory employees and 1036 locally-identified contacts of them, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
During the past 24 hours, 63 more persons were confirmed positive to the virus.Among them 2 are expatriates from Japan and 61 persons are locally-identified close contacts of Minuwangoda garment factory-infected employees.
Meanwhile, the flight UL 455 from Narita, Japan has arrived with 10 passengers and all of them were sent to the tri forces-managed Quarantine Centres after PCR tests, NOCPCO confirmed.
