Over 200kg of Kerala cannabis seized
October 20, 2020A stock of Kerala cannabis weighing 200kg and 825g has been seized recently during a special operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Police in Oluthuduwai, Mannar.
The North Central Naval Command together with the Police Division Vice Branch, Mannar seized 200kg and 825g of Kerala cannabis, during this special operation carried out in Mannar.
The SLN said that the stock in 94 packages stuffed in 10 Polythene sacks smuggled by sea with the intention of distribution, had been found at the beach area of Oluthuduwai.
The stock has been handed over to the Mannar Police for onward investigation.
The operation was conducted adhering to the prevention guidelines for COVID - 19.
