Outgoing Air Force Chief bids farewell
October 29, 2020Outgoing Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sumangala Dias paid a courtesy farewell call on Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne at the Ministry, today (Oct 29).
He is due to retire from active service on completion of a 36 year-long successful Air-Force career.
He was appointed as the 17th Air Force Commander on May 29, 2019.
Maj. Gen. Gunaratne praised the services of the outgoing Air Force Chief and extended warm wishes for his future endeavours during the cordial discussion.
Mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion.
