Admiral (Retd) Piyal De Silva meets Defence Secretary
November 03, 2020Former Navy Commander, Admiral (Retd) Piyal De Silva paid a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne at the Ministry, today (Nov 03).
Admiral De Silva has been appointed as the new Ambassador to Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kabul, Afghanistan. He was retired on July 15 on successful completion of 36 years of long Naval career.
Defence Secretary during the cordial discussion extended the best wishes to Admiral De Silva in his future endeavours.
Gifts were also exchanged as a goodwill gesture at the occasion.
