Programme for Clinical Patients to obtain medicine via post commences today: Health Ministry
November 05, 2020Ministry of Health and Postal Department of Sri Lanka has jointly arranged a programme islandwide, effective from today to distribute medicine for patients undergoing regular clinic treatments from government hospitals, the Health Ministry said.
The Ministry informs the patients to provide their correct name, address, clinic number and telephone number to distribute medicine to their doorstep.
These details should be sent through the phone to the hospitals to which they are registered.
The hospital staff will prepare the drug packs, indicate the patient’s address with clinic number, phone number and name of the hospital. Those packs will be duly delivered by the postman regularly during the curfew period.
The patients can inform their respective Grama Niladharis or Public Health Midwives to convey the correct details to the relevant hospitals.
