Regional 'COVID-19' Operational Centre established in Batticaloa
November 11, 2020The Army’s 231 Brigade of the 23 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ) assisted to establish the first COVID-19 Operation Centre at the Batticaloa District Secretariat to meet with any contingency related to the COVID-19.
The centre is operational round the clock from Monday (Nov 09) and it is manned by Health Officials, Representatives of the District Secretary, Police Officers, Army Officers and Other Ranks along with a few other responsible agencies.
The Batticaloa District Secretary, Regional Director of Health Services, Director Teaching Hospital and government officials attended the inauguration.
