Iranian Ambassador meets Defence Secretary
November 13, 2020The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sri Lanka, His Excellency Hashem Ashjazadeh made a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne at the Ministry, today (Nov 13).
Matters of bilateral importance and mutual relevance were discussed during the cordial discussion held between the Defence Secretary and H.E Ashjazadeh.
While expressing his views, H.E Ashjazadeh said this visit would further cement the long-standing relationship between Sri Lanka and Iran.
Signifying the occasion, the Defence Secretary and the Iranian Ambassador exchanged mementoes.
