Army Troops continue paddy cultivation in Panaluwa
November 15, 2020The Army’s Security Force Headquarters-West troops sowed paddy in a 6-acre plot of field inside the Army camp in Panagoda and the Army farm at Panaluwa, Thunthana on Friday (13).
The project which conforms with the Army’s ‘Thuru Mithuru-Nawa Ratak’ re-forestation and cultivation project was launched under the guidance of Commander, Security Forces-West, Maj. Gen. Chula Abeynayake.
The paddy-sowing ceremony was witnessed by the Army Officers and Other Ranks.
The Army troops recently converted a 10-acre marshy land in Seruwawila into a paddy cultivated land.
