Sri Lanka’s total persons recovered from the Coronavirus rose to 11,806

The total number of  persons fully-recovered from the Coronavirus and discharged from hospitals increased to 11,806 while the country’s total positives recorded as of yesterday evening (Nov 16) increased to 17674 according to the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry.

Further,  a total of 5807 persons are under medical care and about 30,000 persons positive are in self-quarantine.

The National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said as of yesterday morning (16), the total number of Coronavirus positive cases reported from Minuwangoda apparel factory employees and Peliyagoda fish market increased to 13,780.

Meanwhile, 8,070 of the Minuwangoda cluster were fully-recovered and discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours, NOCPCO confirmed

As of yesterday morning (16),  99 persons from Doha, Qatar, Ethiopia and Japan have arrived in Colombo. They  were referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs),  after observing the due formalities at the airport.

The number of total PCR tests conducted in the country on Nov 15 was recorded as, 11,130, NOCPCO said.

Coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka has been increased to 61, to-date.
