November 18, 2020A total number of 8,743 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (17 Nov) and in the meantime 401 coronavirus positives were also identified, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
The number infected persons connected to the Minuwangoda apparel factory and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 14,564, NOCPCO confirmed today (18).
Five coronavirus infected deaths were reported during last 24 hours, and those deaths were reported from Colombo 10 and 02, Dematagoda, Ratmalana and Kirulapana.
According to the Epidemiology Unit details the Country’s Coronavirus death toll remains as 66 while the total infected number of persons increased to 18,075.
A total of 3,223 persons are isolated in military-managed 33 quarantine centres as of today, NOCPCO also said.
Over 30,000 are remained in self-quarantine being identified as first and second contacts of the infected persons, it also said.
