SLAF units – UNMISS conducts special community service projects
November 18, 2020The 4th contingent of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Aviation Unit – United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) conducted a special community service project at the children’s orphanage in Akobo on 16 Nov.
The programme was organized with the assistance of the Relief, Reintegration and Protection Section in UNMISS Bor, SLAF said.
During the event, school equipment, stationery items, clothing items, and dry rations were distributed.
Sri Lanka has been contributing to United Nations peacekeeping missions since 1960.
