A total of 10,514 PCR tests were conducted on Saturday (21)

Following to the confirmation of 491 coronavirus positives last evening (21), the number of cases has increased up to 19,771 in the island, the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry said.

Three persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from Italy and another foreign national arrived from Turkey,  the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) confirmed today (22).

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 16,240

A total of 10,514 PCR tests were conducted on Saturday (21), NOCPCO also said.

Nine patients have victimized to the virus during the last 24 hours, and those were reported from Wellampitiya, Dematagoda, Kalutara, Wellawaththa, Wattala Colombo 02, 10 and 13.

Accordingly the Epidemiology Unit says the country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 83.

A total of 4,193 persons are isolated in military-managed 39 quarantine centres as of today, NOCPCO also said.
