Army troops apprehended 330 Kgs of Smuggled Turmeric
November 24, 2020The Army’s 11 Sri Lanka Artillery troops under Security Force Headquarters-Wanni apprehended a vehicle and a suspect with 330 kg of smuggled turmeric transporting from Pesalai to Uppukulam.
The stock worth about Rs 1.2 million have been captured at the Tharapuram Road Block on Sunday ( Nov 22) on intelligence received.
Both the suspect and the vehicle were handed over to the Police for onward action and investigations.
