A total of 485 Coronavirus recoveries during last 24 hours

Following the confirmation of 502 Coronavirus positives during the last 24 hours, the number of cases in the country increased to 21,460, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.

All the cases were locally identified and 262 of them are from Colombo District, 90 from Gampaha District and 46 from Kalutara District,

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 17,934 and out of them  a total of 12,014 have left hospitals following complete recovery.

NOCPCO also confirmed that a total of 10,400 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (25) and  the day's total recoveries from the virus during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m today(26) stands at 485.

Meanwhile, 50 persons arrived in the country today morning from Doha Qatar and 35 persons from Oman  will be directed for quarantining.

A total of 4,894 persons are quarantining under 47 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 96 alongwith two Coronavirus deaths reported from Colombo 12 and Pannipitiya during the last 24 hours.
