Chandana Wickramaratne appointed as 35th IGP
November 27, 2020Chandana Wickramaratne who performed duties as the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) has assumed duties as the 35th IGP in the Sri Lanka Police at the Police Headquarters, Colombo today (Nov 27).
IGP Wickramaratne who is a past pupil of the Ananda College, Colombo has enrolled into the Sri Lanka Police in 1986 as a Probationary Assistant Superintendent of Police.
He has completed 34 years in the Police service while performing duties in various capacities.
