Security Co-operation
November 30, 2020The 4th National Security Adviser (NSA) level Trilateral Meeting on Maritime Security Cooperation was held between Sri Lanka, India and the Maldives on Nov 28, 2020 at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo.
The high-level engagement covered a wide range of subjects such as collective action on maritime security, Maritime Domain Awareness, legal regimes, training, search and rescue, maritime pollution response, information sharing, curbing piracy, drugs, arms and contraband trafficking in the Indian Ocean Region.
The NSA level trilateral meeting hosted by Sri Lanka was successfully concluded with the participation of H.E Ajit Doval, India's National Security Adviser and H.E. Mariya Didi, the Maldivian Defence Minister, at the invitation of Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Kamal Gunaratne, Sri Lanka's Defence Ministry Secretary.
