Total Coronavirus recoveries rose to 13,594

The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (30) stands at 496 and the total cases in the country increased to 23,483, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

All the cases were locally identified and 167 of them were from Colombo District, 56 from Gampaha District and 53 from Puttalam District.

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 19,942 and out of them a total of 13,594 have left hospitals following complete recovery.

NOCPCO also confirmed that a total of 13,065 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (29) and  the day’s total recoveries from the virus during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (30) stands at 346.

Meanwhile, the total arrived in the country today morning reads as 353 which included one persons from India, 21 from Doha Qatar, 275 from Korea and 53 from Japan. They all will be directed for quarantining.

The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 17,001 persons. 6,366 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 5,537 persons are quarantining under 54 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 116 along with seven Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
