Sri Lanka’s total recoveries from the virus increased to 17,559 - NOCPCO
December 01, 2020The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (December 01) stands at 503 and the total cases in the country increased to 23,986, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Six persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas while 147 positives from Colombo District, 130 from Gampaha District and 41 from Kandy District have been identified, the NOCPCO confirmed today (December 01).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 20,438 and out of them a total of 14,152 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
NOCPCO also stated that a total of 12,031 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (30) and the day’s total recoveries from the virus during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (01) stands at 558.
Meanwhile, the total arrived in the country today morning reads as 149 which included 49 persons from Abudhabi, 05 from German and 95 from Doha Qatar. They all will be directed for quarantining.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 17,559 persons. 6,309 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 6,204 persons are quarantining under 58 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 118 along with two Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
