A total of 13,632 PCR tests conducted yesterday (03)

The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (December 03) stands at 628 and the total cases in the country increased to 26,037 the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

One  persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas while 402 positives from Colombo District, 66 from Gampaha District and 35 from Rathnapura District have been identified, the NOCPCO confirmed today (December 04).  

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 22,484 and out of them, a total of 15,624 have left hospitals following complete recovery.

NOCPCO also stated that a total of 13,632 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (03) and  the day’s total recoveries from the virus during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (04) stands at 728.

Meanwhile, the total arrived in the country today morning reads as 345 which included 45 persons from Qatar, 295 from Kuwait and 05 from Japan. They all will be directed for quarantining.

The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 19,031 persons. 6,877 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 6,436 persons are quarantining under 59 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 129 along with five Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
