Senegalese DA to enhance defence related ties with SL
December 06, 2022The Military, Naval and Air Attaché of the Republic of Senegal Col. Abdoulaya Traore met the Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry in Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte today (Dec 06).
Following a warm reception, the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary held cordial discussions with Col. Traore on matters of bilateral importance and mutual relevance during the session.
The discussion also included the feasibility to continue and increase the training opportunities for Senegal military officers at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and Defence Services Command and Staff College in Sri Lanka.
Ensuing the meeting, mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion.
Sri Lankan Military Liaison Officer Maj. Gen. Dinesh Nanayakkara was also present at the discussion.
