Army troops repair a split tank bund in Vavuniya
December 07, 2020Vavuniya-based Army troops together with the villagers and Irrigation Department officials during the past two days (5-6 Dec) completely repaired a huge split on the Sinnawalayankaddu Tank bund.
The tank bund was damaged due to the impact of the cyclone, ‘Burevi.
More than 113 families are benefitted from the tank which gives water to agricultural needs of more than 200 acres of land
Parasankulam village Grama Niladari, Irenei Uppukulam Irrigational technical officer, Madu Assistant Divisional Secretary and Parasankulam Village Development Officer closely watched repairs and provided technical support.
