UNHCR delegation calls on Defence Secretary
December 22, 2022A delegation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) led by Indrika Ratwatte (Director- Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific) met the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry today (22 Dec).
Upon extending a warm welcome the Defence Secretary had a cordial discussion with the UNHCR delegation.
Mr. Ratwatte presented a memento to the Defence Secretary during the occasion.
The UNHCR delegation included Menique Amarasinghe (Head of National Office) and Sanjitha Satyamurthi.
Military Assistant to the Defence Secretary Col. Rasika Gunasena was also present at the occasion.
