Army troops set up New RO Plant at Kumburupiddi Village
January 01, 2023Sri Lanka Army’s 17 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) constructed a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification plant for safe drinking water in Kumburupiddi area recently.
The generous sponsorship of Rs one million granted by Mr Chathura Kularathna, the owner of Bodyline (Pvt) Ltd Company Ltd at Horana at the request of Commanding Officer, 17 SLNG Major P.G.L Hemakumara facilitated the troops to complete the project benefitting 500 families, the Army sources said.
The RO plant was ceremonially inaugurated during an occasion attended by representatives of Bodyline (Pvt) Ltd Company, Officers, Other Ranks and villagers.
