Coast Guard nabs 2,467 kilos of Kendu Leaves
January 18, 2023Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) nabbed 2,467 kilos of Kendu Leaves with two suspects and three dingy boats in the Western Seas off Thoduwawa, Chilaw today (Jan 18).
According to the SLCG sources smuggled haul of Kendu Leaves were found in separate 76 packages with its wet weight at the time of apprehension at the Thoduwawa Bridge.
Suspects, residents of Pitipana and Negombo aged 29 and 42, netted following information received through the SLCG intelligence sources will be handed over to the Madampe Excise Department for onward investigations, the SLCG added.
