SL Navy installs own built 951st water treatment plant at Sella Kataragama
January 30, 2023A new Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant built by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) will provide easy access to safe drinking water to around 450 families in Sella Kataragama fulfilling a long felt need
According to SLN media, the Navy built RO plant installed at Sri Dammanikethana Temple and Pirivena in Sella Kataragama was vested for public use yesterday (29 Jan).
This new plant is the 951st RO plant installed by the SL Navy under its Social Responsibility Project. Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Saman Perera declared open the new facility built with naval technical expertise and backed by the Ministry of Health, it says.
The opening ceremony was held amidst religious blessing by the venerable Maha Sanga including the Chief Incumbent of Sri Dammanikethana Temple and Pirivena, Ven. Heelle Gnanananda Thera.
