Ministry of Defence Commends the Independence Day Parade

The 75th National Independence Day celebration of Sri Lanka was successfully conducted with pride and glory under the theme “Namo Namo Matha-A step towards the century”, at the Galle Face Green in Colombo today (04 Feb).
The Ministry of Defence extends its appreciation to the Chief of Defence Staff, Tri-Forces Commanders, Inspector General of Police, Director General of Civil Defence Force, Director General of Coast Guard, Commandant Special Task Force and Director National Cadet Corps for displaying tremendous commitment and outstanding leadership for the successful completion of the milestone national event.
Further, the Ministry of Defence offers its gratefulness to the Chiefs of Staff of the Tri-Forces, Adjutant General (Army), Director of Personnel Administration (Army), Director General Administration (Navy), Director General Ground Operations (Air Force), from the top brass to the rank and file of the Tri-Forces and Police, School Cadets and School children for their immense contribution displaying tremendous commitment in this national endeavour.
Finally, all those who supported in placing the country’s national flag flying high in the sky receive immense gratitude.
