Blockage in Attanagalu Oya cleared with military support

Sri Lanka Army troops following a request made by the Divisional Secretariat office at Attanagalla, removed a blockage of drain water that had carried tree branches, leaves and earth mounds in Mangalathiriya area above the Attanagalu Oya bund and clogged up, recently.

Army troops of the 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery under the 141 Infantry Brigade and sailors of the Sri Lanka Navy together with the employees of the Disaster Management Centre and the Irrigation Department, carried out the project on 06 and 07 February, the Army sources said.
