Army distributes stationeries among rural school children
March 20, 2023The Sri Lanka Army (SLA) distributed exercise books and accessories among students of Periyamadhu Muslim School and Thachchanmaradamadu Government's Tamil Mixed School recently at the Periyamadhu Muslim School premises.
Accordingly, the SLA troops of the 653 Infantry Brigade of 65 Infantry Division operating under the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni conducted the worthy donation with the sponsorship of a group of philanthropists and well-wishers.
The Brigade Commander Brig. Namal Serasinghe coordinated the event, the SLA sources stated.
General Officer Commanding, 65 Division Maj. Gen. Prasad Edirisinghe, the Administrator of the Shrine of our Lady of Madhu, Senior Officers, school staff and students were also present at the occasion.
