Army constructs a house for a needy family
December 12, 2020Completing another community welfare oriented programme, the Sri Lanka Army constructed a new house for a needy family in Kimbissa, Sigiriya and gifted to the family during a brief ceremony recently.
Following the family’s plight was brought to the notice by neighbours and the Grama Niladhari, the new house was constructed under the directions of the General Officer Commanding of 53 Division Maj. Gen. Nishantha Manage.
The resources of the 53 division were utilized for the noble cause.
Accordingly, the family warmed the new house on Thursday (10) in the presence of their relatives, villagers, officers and other ranks while adhering to healthcare guidelines.
