Namibian DA pays farewell call on Sri Lanka Defence Secretary
April 20, 2023The Defence Attaché (DA) of the High Commission of the Republic of Namibia based in New Delhi, Brigadier General Titus Simon who completes his tenure, paid a farewell call on the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry, Defence Headquarters Complex, Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte today (April 20).
Gen. Gunaratne warmly received Brigadier General Simon on the arrival to the Defence Ministry.
During the cordial meeting held between the two high officials, Namibian DA expressed his gratitude to the Defence Secretary for the Defence Ministry’s cooperation extended during his tenure.
Meanwhile, the Defence Secretary commended the outgoing DA for his cooperation extended and the assistance given to further strengthening the existing ties between two countries.
Mementos were also exchanged between the Defence Secretary and the outgoing DA to mark the occasion.
Military Liaison Officer of the Defence Ministry Brig. Dhammika Welagedara was also present at the occasion.
