Defence Secretary visits Trincomalee Naval Base
December 12, 2020Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. Kamal Gunaratne arrived at the Naval Base in Trincomalee (Eastern Naval Command) today (12 Dec).
The visiting high official received by Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and the Eastern Naval Commander Rear Admiral Ruwan Perera, accompanied to the Command Office Complex and held an area briefing during the session.
The presentation conducted by Rear Admiral Perera was attended by the Senior Naval Officers including the Departmental Heads in the Command.
Mementos were also exchanged to symbolize the occasion.
Maj Gen. Gunaratne made an inspection visit around the Naval Dockyard in the Port City of Trincomalee following the briefing.
